Meet our Accelerator Winners!

CRH Ventures is delighted to announce the winners of its highly competitive third Accelerator program for Sustainable Building Materials. After rigorous evaluation and selection, four innovative start-ups have been chosen to partner with CRH Operating Companies to pilot their groundbreaking solutions.

The winning start-ups are:

Envicore - Innovating a process to treat industrial byproducts, yielding SCMs.

Material Evolution - Creating ultra-low carbon cement from industrial byproducts.

Cocoon Carbon - Developing a process that turns industrial wastes like steel slag into an engineered SCM, boosting both decarbonisation and circularity.

Neocrete - Re-engineering cement and concrete to make it regenerative, resilient and carbon neutral.

The selection committee was impressed by the compelling pitches delivered by each of these start-ups. Their technologies demonstrated readiness to deliver commercially viable solutions that can lower CO₂ emissions, enhance material performance, and boost the uptake of waste feedstocks in the manufacture and supply of building materials.

Eduardo Gomez, Head of CRH Ventures, commented: “Through these new partnerships, CRH are aiming to drive growth and deliver market-ready innovation to our customers across the construction value chain.

We are now working to identify CRH Operating Companies that will work alongside each startup to pilot their respective technologies, and we look forward to diving deeper into each solution to ensure we optimize the impact they can have on the future of our built world.”

A huge thank you to our program partners for their participation, insight, and expertise in the judging and selection process:
