Sustainable Building Accelerator receives 100+ applications
We launched our third accelerator for sustainable building materials in October 2024, reflecting our focus on advancing innovations that can significantly reduce the environmental impact of construction.
The team could not be happier with the response to this latest program, Eduardo Gomez commented, “We’ve received more than 100 applications from companies operating in over 30 countries across the globe, all of them tackling critical challenges in our built environment.
“We’re excited to review these applications in our search for the next cohort of organizations that will help us to reinvent the way our world it built.”
CRH started running accelerator programs through their CVC - CRH Ventures - in 2023 with the goal of catalyzing action within key sectors of the construction industry and this accelerator has bought forward construction technology companies from across the startup ecosystem.
Applications from this cohort were particularly focused on: finding scalable solutions that can lower CO₂ emissions, better embrace the principles of a circular economy or deliver greater energy efficiency.
In the coming weeks we will be carefully evaluating each application and preparing a shortlist for in-depth interviews, before inviting the most promising startups to attend our pitch days event on 5/6 March 2025 at London’s iconic and foremost creative venue, 180 Studios.
